About the trip
Khaoyai is known as the first national park in Thailand it covers an area of 2,168 square kilometers. There are about 70 species of mammals such as tiger, elephant, gaur etc, 350 species of birds such as Great Hornbill, Coral-billed Ground Cuckoo, etc. As well as more than 2,000 species of trees and plants, Khaoyai was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
Itinerary
Day 1 ( D)
Meet at your hotel and transfer from Bkk to Khaoyai, check in at a hotel and after check in, at 03.30 PM, it is time to explore the nature of Khaoyai. In the afternoon we head to explore the stalactite cave and in the cave, there are different believes of Thais are seen such as a spirit shrine, statues of Hindu gods, Buddha. And this is a good example of the Thai culture. After the stalactite cave, we head to the bat cave to see many millions of insect-eating bats, wrinkle-lipped bat, swarm out of the cave for an hour to forage insects. While they are swarming out of the cave, birds of prey wait patiently to feed on them.This spectacular takes place every day outside of Khaoyai.
Day 2 (B, L)
At 08:00 am, leave the hotel after breakfast and head to the park to explore the beauty of the park, Before we start trekking in the jungle, we try to spot as many animals as possible, with a bit of luck, Possible sightings are Barking Deer, White-handed Gibbon, Great Hornbill, Sambar Deer. Jungle trekking lasts about 2 hrs 30 mins, and then we head to the waterfall in the film “The Beach” to have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch it is time to explore the beauty of the waterfall. Late afternoon we head to the Lonely Cliff to see the highest mountain of the park. About 04:30 PM, it is time to leave the park to Bkk by an air-conditioned minivan.
